The Béziers Mediterranean New Wine Festival

Béziers, France, September 28, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Béziers Mediterranean Tourist Office has announced details of this year's festival of New Wine (Vin Nouveau). The festival is one of the main annual events for the Béziers Mediterranean area, which covers 13 towns and villages in Languedoc Roussillon, south of France, including Béziers, Villeneuve-le-Béziers, Sérignan and Valras-Plage.

The whole Béziers Mediterranean area will be celebrating the vine from 21-24 October. Events include classic wine tastings in local wine cellars, dinners and banquets, a special wine-tasting bike tour, a wine discovery ramble, and bus tours of the local wine-growing estates and châteaux.

Other activities will include produce markets with musical performances, a parade with totemic animals in Villeneuve-lès-Béziers and a wine-themed beach party in Valras-Plage.

There will also be masses to bless the new wine, plus exhibitions and lectures on the theme of wine.
