CODA and RM Sign Partnership to Supply New Generation School Financial Management System

Delivers accurate financial data to educational stakeholders. Centrally hosted system helps schools manage data efficiently. Unlocks significant infrastructure savings.

Harrogate, United Kingdom, January 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- CODA plc, the finance systems specialist, today announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with RM to integrate CODA-Financials as the financial element of its new generation of enterprise school management systems for primary and secondary schools.

RM is the leading provider of information and communication technology (ICT) solutions to schools in the UK and the leading provider of school management systems in Australia. Worldwide, over 8,000 schools rely on RM systems to support school business processes and inform school management. The new joint RM and CODA solution is designed to support rigorous financial management but implemented in a practical and straightforward way suitable for schools. It will be marketed as IntegrisG2 Finance.

Commenting on the partnership, Colin Watson, managing director of RM Education Management Systems said: “Our new IntegrisG2 Finance system will be hosted centrally and accessed by schools over the web, providing a single enterprise solution for all schools in a local authority, consortium or jurisdiction. We were impressed with the power, flexibility and simplicity of CODA-Financials and believe that the Integris solution is now unrivalled in the school enterprise systems market. Schools and all their stakeholders need secure access to vital operational and performance information and our systems make live data readily available.”

Both the new IntegrisG2 Finance software and RM’s IntegrisG2 school management system are web-delivered making performance data quick and easy to access, analyse and report on. It is possible therefore, with the appropriate access rights, for parents to look at information on their child’s progress, such as attendance and assessment records. By allowing data to be held centrally, it also enables pupil information to be shared quickly and securely across government agencies and helps educational establishments address the practical implementation of government initiatives.

“This partnership represents an important new go-to-market strategy in CODA’s approach to schools and we are looking forward to working closely with RM,” said Steven Dashwood, managing director of CODA GB Ltd. “Using CODA-Financials, local authorities and schools will have secure access to accurate, real-time financial data helping them to make the best decisions. It will offer schools efficient financial control that many haven’t had before to more accurately analyse expenditure against budgets and allocate available resources to avoid overspend. Historically, this is the type of application where CODA’s software really excels so we expect a good level of interest in the offering over the coming months.”
