The Resolutions Firm Participates in Relay for Life and Raises Money for the American Cancer Society

San Diego, CA, October 14, 2010 --(PR.com)-- On August 21st, members of The Resolutions Firm participated in San Diego’s Relay For Life. Relay for Life is a 24-hour fundraiser representing that cancer never sleeps and to represent this, each team is required to have at least one participant on the designated track at all times.

The fundraiser, which took place in downtown San Diego, began on Saturday, Aug. 21 at 9 a.m. and ended at 9 a.m. the next morning. The team of over 20 people consisted of members of The Resolutions Firm, family and employees from a few local firms. The firm had been raising money since June and was able to raise over $1300 for the American Cancer Association. This amount ranked the company 35 out of all participating teams.

The organization is the world’s largest movement towards finding a cure for cancer. Each year, there are more than 3.5 million people who participate in the United States alone, spanning over 5,000 communities. In 1996, Relay for Life became an international program, with relays now being held in 19 other countries.

“We are so excited to have been a part of this cause. The team really got behind the cause and we are excited to say that we overshot our fundraising goal. I am excited for next year to do even more,” explained Sara Stafford, Manager of The Resolutions Firm.

Members of The Resolutions Firm have also participated within the community by volunteering for the Therapeutic Foundation of San Diego, Autism Speaks, The Alzheimer’s Association, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Habitat For Humanity.
