Algonquin Studios and Roswell Park Alliance Foundation’s Paint Box Project Team Up Again for the 2010 Holiday Season

Buffalo, NY, October 15, 2010 --(PR.com)-- After a two year hiatus, Algonquin Studios is pleased to announce that Roswell Park Alliance Foundation’s The Paint Box Project has returned as a client and is once again using Algonquin’s QuantumCMS content management system to host their web site, http://www.PaintBoxProject.com for the 2010 holiday season.

“The Paint Box Project is a fantastic initiative that brings a personal face to the fight against cancer and helps pediatric patient-artists connect with the Buffalo art and business communities and express themselves through a creative outlet, allowing them to forget about their cancer treatment for a while,” said Algonquin’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Stephen M. Kiernan II. “We’re so happy to have them rejoin the Algonquin Studios family of clients and are honored to work with Roswell Park on the Project this year.”

The Project hosts art parties where children create original designs that are featured on holiday and all-occasion cards and gifts. PaintBoxProject.com allows customers to purchase the gifts, cards, and candy from the Project collection online and all proceeds from the sale of Paint Box Project items benefit cancer research and patient care programs at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. The site also shares stories about some of the Project’s patient-artists and offers information on the ways individuals, businesses, and organizations can host art parties and make monetary and in-kind donations to the initiative.

"For over 20 years, The Paint Box Project has made a difference in the lives of many young cancer patients at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and their families. The Paint Box Project has been able to do so with the generous support of many corporate sponsors, business partners, and donors,” said Jen Seth-Cimini, Manager of The Paint Box Project. “We appreciate the generous nature of so many individuals and organizations in the community. This program means a lot to those who participate in it, and the funds raised go right back to Roswell Park to help with the fight against cancer."
