Jason E. Havens Certified as Tennessee Estate Planning Specialist

Nashville, TN, October 20, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization has certified Jason E. Havens, as an Estate Planning Specialist. Mr. Havens joins a small but select group of over 300 Tennessee Attorneys who have completed a rigorous certification process required by the Tennessee Supreme Court.

To be certified, Tennessee attorneys must have years of experience in their field, special education, pass an examination and receive positive recommendations from other lawyers, judges and their clients. Certified attorneys must also maintain $500,000 in malpractice insurance and complete a law practice management checklist each year.

Tennessee attorneys do not have to be certified to practice in any area of the law, and certified attorneys are not limited in their law practice to the area of their certification.

Certification can be of assistance to consumers in selecting an attorney in the
fields where it is offered. Currently, Tennessee attorneys may obtain certification in the fields of Civil Trial, Criminal Trial, Consumer Bankruptcy, Business Bankruptcy, Creditor's Rights, Accounting Malpractice, Legal Malpractice, Medical Malpractice, Elder Law, Estate Planning, Family Law, Juvenile Law-Child Welfare, Social Security Disability, and DUI Defense.
