Planning Special Events for Nonprofits Workshop Offered by The Volunteer Center of NW Suburban Chicago

Arlington Heights, IL, October 24, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Volunteer Center of Northwest Suburban Chicago (TVC) will be hosting a “Planning Special Events” Workshop on November 3rd. The workshop is for nonprofit professionals that want to learn how to focus the energy of the planning process on activities which align with the mission of the organization with event goals and participant expectations. The focus will be on identifying target audiences, devising a theme, marketing, and recruiting volunteers. Participants will learn explore the best use of volunteers, alternative promotional avenues and opportunities to leverage fundraising. Liz Noe, President of ElizEvents, Inc. and Ann Marie Nordby, Resale Special Events Chairperson for WINGS will be presenting. The workshop takes place at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S Goebbert Rd, Arlington Heights, IL from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This workshop is complimentary for TVC members and $30 for non-members.
