)-- Sims Recycling Solutions, the world’s largest electronics recycler is partnering with the San Jose Sharks and HP in an effort to encourage the community and local Sharks hockey fans to recycle their electronics. The event will be held in the Main Parking lot of HP Pavilion at San Jose at 525 W Santa Clara St., San Jose, CA on October 30, 2010 from 9:00am-1:00pm.
Everyone bringing an item to recycle will be able to watch the Sharks morning skate and will also receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win merchandise signed by members of the San Jose Sharks hockey team.
The e-waste collection event will be set up as a drive through and drop off event. Staff will be on site to collect items from your car quickly and conveniently. For added convenience, if you are dropping off a monitor or a TV for recycling, please print and complete the collection log found at the www.us.simsrecycling.com/sharks website.
Sims Recycling Solutions will accept the following: televisions (TVs), monitors, computers, laptops, cell phones, telephones, printers, speakers, keyboards, mice, PDAs, radios, stereos, MP3s, DVDs, CD Players, and VCRs (etc). Sims Recycling Solutions cannot accept household appliances, smoke detectors, microwaves, batteries, ink/toner cartridges, and cans/bottles.
