Mobile, AL, November 03, 2010 --(PR.com
)-- “Texting’s growth rate is viral,” explained Van Koppersmith, President of ACS. “We have seen some fantastic numbers including those from the Pew Research Center. Their 2010 Mobil eAccess Survey shows that 72% of cell phone users are now sending or receiving text messages. Considering 95% of all cellphones allow text messaging, that is an incredible acceptance rate for any technology. It just made sense to offer Text Notification as an option in our new Service Advisor screens. We have finished the beta testing and are very pleased with the results.”
This enhanced communication tool is available for ACS ACCESS DMS dealerships. It is unique in that it is an integrated part of the advisor screen rather than a separate SMS application. One click of the cell phone button opens the message window, allowing the advisor to type a unique message or the advisor can right click on the message box and select from a list custom messages. These messages work similar to an airline notification system and can be used to provide updates to a customer on the progress of a repair or the completion of the work.
