WSI Participates in the Digital Marketing First Conference in Brussels


World’s Largest Digital Marketing Firm Shares Its Expertise in Dynamic Presentations About Digital Media and Web Analytics

Toronto, Canada, November 08, 2010 --(PR.com)-- WSI, the world’s #1 digital marketing consulting firm, participated in the 5th edition of the Digital Marketing First Conference, organized by Best of Publishing, owner of the magazine Inside Digital Media and the #1 e-news website in Belgium www.digimedia.be. The event, which took place on October 28 at the Tour & Taxis in Brussels, featured Internet marketing and social media experts from around the world. WSI was among those that participated in the event as two WSI experts (Feras Alhlou from California and Dominique deCoster from Belgium) joined the conference as speakers.

Dominique deCoster, a local WSI Consultant, delivered a presentation entitled “Will you stay in business without Digital Marketing?” in which he discussed the importance of leveraging new media tools and technologies to stay competitive in today’s market.

“Digital media is a fast-changing channel and its explosion into our environment has transformed the way people interact with each other online,” says Dominique deCoster of WSI. “For this reason, we’re seeing companies adjust the way they advertise and communicate to their target audience, shifting their offline media to online – a process we call ‘digitization’. Considering the growing population of Internet users, specifically social media users, it is critical that companies tap into new growth opportunities by leveraging digital media in their marketing strategy. We strongly believe in educating the business community on how to best utilize today’s new media tools and technologies to enhance and monitor their brand reputation, drive more qualified traffic to their website, generate increased online leads and ultimately boost their bottom line.”

Feras Alhlou, WSI Consultant based in California, was a keynote speaker whose presentation was entitled “Web Analytics - Leverage the Power of Data and Take Action”. Feras also shared insightful information as part of an experts panel entitled, “Are you looking for performance? CPM, CPC, CPA ... what should you buy?”

“If companies have already jumped into the arena of digital marketing with search engine optimization, content marketing and social media management, then continuously monitoring, measuring and evaluating the impact of those marketing campaigns become vital,” Feras Alhlou of WSI says. “The use of web analytics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and optimize a company’s marketing spend is a ‘must’ in their marketing plan. In my presentation I discussed the practice of web analytics and how companies can leverage the power of web data.”

More than 3,000 marketing professionals were expected to convene for the conference, many of whom attended WSI’s presentations to gain a strong understanding of digital media and web analytics and the importance of integrating these strategies into an online marketing plan.

WSI also participated in the conference tradeshow as an exhibitor. Local WSI Consultant and WSI Advisory Council member Miko Kershberg helped facilitate the tradeshow booth.
