ActionCOACH Warrick Bidwell Goes the Extra Mile to Help Kids with Hearing Loss

Coaching for a Cause uses business coaching principles to help charities raise funds.

Las Vegas, NV, November 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Hear and Say Centre had been experiencing some growing pains as it expanded in an effort to help more children with hearing issues. They knew they had to take some serious steps if they wanted to help every child they could and they were thrilled to find business coach Warrick Bidwell and ActionCOACH’s Coaching for a Cause.

Coaching for a Cause is a far-reaching, global pro-bono coaching program that helps non-profits and charities from all walks of life increase their top-level goals and better manage their funds through a simple pledge system. The program is designed to bring the proven and systemized business building methodology ActionCOACH, the world’s largest business coaching company, uses to help for-profit business owners to non-profit entities.

Last year was the first time Coaching for a Cause ran and it was incredibly successful as ActionCOACH helped raise almost $3 million world-wide. This year the goal is to have 100 coaches donate at least 10,000 coaching hours to produce $5 million in additional funds for the chosen charities.

With the holiday season fast approaching, Coaching for a Cause is a great way for the ActionCOACH community to give back to those less fortunate.

The Hear and Say Centre now has five locations in the state of Queensland, Australia. With the expansion they’ve experienced, they really needed help with training their senior leadership and maintain an appropriate focus through the changes. Bidwell and Coaching for a Cause have helped them do just that.

General manager of the Centre, Chris McCarthy said, “The real key to Coaching for a Cause for us is the ability to benchmark progress. Our leadership, our management, now they can clearly articulate the outcome they desire for a given project. There’s no guesswork.”

“We were going from a small organization and knew that to be taken seriously in our field, we needed more discipline and that is one major area Warrick has been able to help us,” McCarthy said recently.

“Personally, I’ve found Warrick to be upfront and honorable,” McCarthy continued. “He has taken Coaching for a Cause very seriously and you can see that in the way he works with us. It’s clear he cares and I’m equally impressed with an organization like ActionCOACH recognizing the importance of contributing to the community in general. I wish more businesses took that approach.”
