Two Community Leaders Join Moorpark College Foundation Board

Allan Mann of Troop Real Estate and Kathleen Percival of Simi Valley Hospital join the governing board for the Moorpark College Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports the college and its students.

Moorpark, CA, November 06, 2010 --(PR.com)-- The Moorpark College Foundation announces the addition of Allan C. Mann of Troop Real Estate and Kathleen Percival of Simi Valley Hospital to its Board of Directors. The Foundation is a registered non-profit organization that raises funds to support the college and its students through the leadership of a 14-member Board of Directors.

“The Moorpark College Foundation is privileged to have outstanding local leaders such as Kathleen Percival and Allan Mann join its governing board,” said Dr. Pam Eddinger, President of Moorpark College and an ex-officio member of the Moorpark College Foundation Board of Directors.

Mann is a 42-year resident of Simi Valley, a top Realtor and property manager with Troop Real Estate in his hometown and a community volunteer. He serves the Rotary Club of Simi Valley, which he was president in 2003-04, as well as the Simi Valley Education Foundation which he served as president in 2005-06.

Mann has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Northridge, and is a graduate of Simi Valley High School. He and his wife of 20 years, Antoinette, have two children attending local schools in Simi Valley.

Percival, a 40-year Simi Valley resident, is director of quality management and education services at Simi Valley Hospital. A registered nurse, the Royal High School graduate earned a bachelor’s degree from Mount St. Mary’s College and a master’s degree in nursing from California State University, Dominguez Hills.

Percival has held many roles since she started with the hospital in 1977, including a rewarding 20 years as an RN in the emergency department. She and her husband of 28 years, Wayne, have two children attending college in Northern California.

“Allan and Kathleen bring tremendous experience to our Board, Allan from a fund-raising and volunteerism perspective, and Kathleen from the health care industry which is growing rapidly, and a key focus of career education right here on campus,” said Dan Peate, President of the Moorpark College Foundation.
