Bayer MaterialScience LLC Scientist Takes Home Best Presentation Award for the Energy Critical Foams Technical Session at CPI’s Polyurethanes 2010 Technical Conference

Pittsburgh, PA, November 25, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Bayer MaterialScience LLC’s Dr. Steven L. Schilling, senior principal scientist, Polyurethane/Insulation Development, took home the Best Presentation Award for the Energy Critical Foams Technical Session at the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry’s Polyurethanes 2010 Technical Conference. Schilling received the award in recognition of his outstanding presentation, “Comparison of Gaseous and Liquid Low-GWP Blowing Agents with HFC 134a and HFC 245a in Rigid Polyurethane Insulating Foams.”

Schilling’s award-winning presentation examined the use of low-Global Warming Potential (GWP) blowing agents as an alternative to hydrofluorcarbons (HFCs) in rigid polyurethane foams. This award reinforces Bayer MaterialScience LLC’s position as a leader and innovator in the polyurethane industry. The Polyurethanes 2010 Technical Conference took place Oct. 11-13, 2010, in Houston.
