Operation Safe Witness, Inc. (OSW) needs your support. Witness intimidation has become a fatal epidemic; one that is not easily cured. So, why not lend your support? Join OSW, Inc. in its' efforts and remember, violent crime and witness intimidation transcends gender, status, ethnicity, religious affiliation and sexual orientation. Violent crime affects everyone.
Atlanta, GA, November 26, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Operation Safe Witness, Inc. “Raising Awareness, Understanding and Conviction”
Tentatively, on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 9:00am – 5:00pm, Operation Safe Witness, Inc. (OSW) will attempt to host its 1st Annual Anti-Violence Million Mom March. The organization's concept is “Easy as A.B.C.” (Atlanta, Baltimore and Chicago).
OSW is a 501(c) (3) non-profit public charity founded in November 2004. OSW's objective is to serve as an arm to law enforcement and justice professionals in safeguarding victims and/or witnesses against violent acts of intimidation. OSW is interested in implementing this worthwhile initiative in Atlanta, Baltimore and Chicago as all three cities have demonstrated need. In order to accomplish this mission, OSW would like nothing more than your support.
By “support” OSW means your willingness to embrace OSW's efforts making your city the home of OSW, Inc. and its' network of juvenile justice, domestic-violence and rehabilitative service providers who too are interested in:
Decreasing reprisal, especially fatal cases of intimidation
Increasing victim/witness cooperation in violent crime cases
Increasing violent crime conviction rates
Addressing the issues perpetuating juvenile violent crime
The focus of OSW's upcoming march is to Raise Awareness, Understanding and Conviction while simultaneously raising funds necessary in the implementation of this 12-24 month pilot program. To that end, OSW respectfully requests your presence at its' Pre-planning Information Session on December 11, 2010 from 12:30-2:30pm at the College Park Branch Public Library located 3647 Main Street, College Park, GA. 30337. It is here that the public, city leaders and community activists can gain insight and information on this movement.
