Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors Bestows Highest Honors to Prudential Executives

Real estate executive Paul Bell was named 2011 GLVAR President and corporate broker Forrest Barbee was named Realtor of the Year.

Las Vegas, NV, November 27, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Four Prudential Americana Group executives received top honors at the annual Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors installation program Saturday. Real estate executive Paul Bell was inducted as the 2011 GLVAR president and corporate broker Forrest Barbee was named Realtor of the Year. Prudential branch managers Heidi Kasama and Kathryn Bovard were appointed to continue their service on the GLVAR board of directors.

Bell and Barbee have been active members of the GLVAR for many years. Prior to his nomination and induction as the organization’s 2011 president, Bell served as its president elect in 2010, vice president in 2009, treasurer in 2008 and board member in 2005 and 2006. He has earned his Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) designations.

Barbee is Prudential Americana Group’s corporate broker. He has received many prestigious awards from the GLVAR including its 2009 Gene Nebeker Memorial Award for professionalism and service to the organization. “Paul and Forrest are consummate professionals and among the most talented in the Las Vegas real estate industry,” said Mark Stark, CEO of Prudential Americana Group. “It is no surprise that they have been recognized by their peers with such esteemed appointments and awards. Realtor of The Year is one of the most prestigious awards GLVAR bestows, and we are honored every day to work with someone as smart and talented as Forrest.”

Kathryn Bovard manages one of Prudential’s top five offices in the country. She has served on numerous committees for the GLVAR including its financial committee for the past three years, vice chair in 2010 and the Nevada Real Estate Division’s Education Committee. Bovard is a certified short sale professional, certified mediator and has been a court appointed special advocate for more than ten years. “Kathryn manages one of Prudential’s top 10 offices in the country,” said Stark. “It’s no surprise that her business acumen has become an asset within the GLVAR’s fantastic group of volunteers.”

Heidi Kasama, broker and manager of Prudential’s Summerlin office, has an extensive business background as a CPA and business owner. Prior to merging with Prudential last year, she owned her own real estate brokerage. In addition to two years on the GLVAR board, Kasama also served on its grievance committee, quality control committee and professional standards and forms committee.
