Asheville’s Fun Depot Gives Back to Goodwill

Fun Depot has shown innovation and passion in its support for Goodwill’s mission by hosting three donation drives in the past year. These events have generated over 6,000 articles of clothing that were sold to fund Goodwill’s training services.

Asheville, NC, December 02, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Asheville’s Fun Depot was recently awarded at Goodwill’s 2010 Recognition Banquet for their participation in making a difference in thousands of people’s lives.

Fun Depot has shown innovation and passion in its support for Goodwill’s mission by hosting three donation drives in the past year. These events have generated over 6,000 articles of clothing that were sold to fund Goodwill’s training services. In addition Fun Depot staff members have served on Goodwill’s Business Advisory Council which provides valuable counsel and resources to enable Goodwill to maximize its impact in the community.

As a non-profit organization, Goodwill’s mission is to create opportunities for people to enhance their lives through training, workforce development programs and collaborations with other community organizations. Goodwill has been successful in this mission for over 80 years and will be continue to be successful with help from caring people like the ones at Asheville’s Fun Depot.

Asheville’s Fun Depot is Asheville’s only family entertainment center featuring: indoor mini golf, multi-level laser tag, batting cages, climbing wall, soft play area, arcade, mini bowling, indoor and outdoor go-carts, bumper cars, the Depot Diner and more. They are open every day. Located at Exit 51 off I-40.
