"Summit Your Life" Indie Radio Talk-Show Host to Author New Book

Westport, CT, December 05, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Garrison Leykam, co-host with Betty-Lynn White of the "Summit Your Life" radio program on 1400 WSTC/1350 WNLK in Fairifield County, CT, is writing his first book due for release in Spring 2011.

Leykam's career has taken many paths over the past few decades. He was a producer and A&R executive for London Records, Inc. for 10-years during which time he produced the Austin-based rock-blues-country band Greezy Wheels, handled production for legendary jazz pianist Erroll Garner and was executive producer for singer-songwriter Leslie Pearl. As Director of Recording Studio Operations for London, Leykam was associated in various capacities with the music of The Moody Blues, The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Van Morrison with Them, John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers, Al Green, and others. A performer himself, he has appeared at CBGB’s, Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Café, Toad's Place and other major venues. He has also been an indie record producer and president of his own indie record label.

Leykam hosted and produced the "DINERS" TV show on Connecticut Public Television (CPTV). His motorcycle from the TV show was recently featured in the “MotoStars: Celebrities + Motorcycles” exhibit at the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum alongside bikes owned by Brad Pitt, Peter Fonda, Journey, Rush, and Foreigner as well as in the companion book to the exhibit.

In addition to his music and TV experience, Leykam has been a senior executive for such companies as MCI Telecommunications, DSL.net, Grand Circle Travel and two professional hockey teams. He has been profiled on ESPN 2’s “Extreme Magazine” television series and featured in newspapers and magazines including the Boston Sunday Globe, The New Haven Register, Spotlight, Westport, Training & Development, and others. His CATV series on extreme leadership and team-building, "Out Of Your Comfort Zone," was nominated for a Creativity Award by The Association for Experiential Learning at its International Conference.
