Reduce, Reuse, Recycle… Reverberate? Treat Acoustic Issues the Low-Cost, Green Way with Audimute’s Redesigned Sound Absorption Sheets

Audimute's redesigned Sound Absorption Sheets offers acoustic treatment in an even more effective way. They are larger and therefore provide sound absorption for a greater area. The new sheets also feature a more substantial fabric and a heavier overall weight. Audimute is dedicated to continued innovation and plans to roll out even more Sound Absorption Sheet options in 2011.

Cleveland, OH, December 07, 2010 --(PR.com)-- An acoustic treatment that’s environmentally friendly, easy on the wallet, and effective to boot? It sounds too good to be true, but it’s exactly what Audimute has created in its redesigned Sound Absorption Sheets.

Still a highly efficient, economical way to absorb echoes and reverberation, the new sheets differ from Audimute’s original Sound Absorption Sheets in several important ways. At approximately 94 in. by 54 in. (8’ x 4.5’), they are larger and therefore provide sound absorption for a greater area. The new sheets also feature a more substantial fabric. And even though they’re heavier (weighing in at 10 lbs.), the redesigned sheets are easier to install, with six grommets—three on each 4.5’ side—providing flexible hanging options both horizontally and vertically.

“This product was truly developed by our customers from their direct feedback via our surveys, online chat, and Facebook interactions,” notes Mitch Zlotnik, Audimute founder and president. “We listened closely and delivered a product our customers are sure to love.”

And customers do love them—so much, in fact, that they’re writing in to say how wonderful these absorptions sheets are. Here’s what one customer had to say:

“This is a terrific portable acoustic product. I have a small office which doubles as a voiceover studio. The sheets could be taken down and put up quickly, and the results have been spectacular. Reverb and echo is really eliminated, and the voiceover tracks that I have produced have been very sonically clean. A wonderful low-cost alternative to sound panels and foam, and they don't have to stay permanently mounted, which is a big plus.”

To keep these Sound Absorption Sheets as environmentally green and affordable as possible, Audimute seeks out the lowest-cost fabric options, which are frequently available in limited quantities. This means the fabrics change in color, pattern, and/or texture from batch to batch.

And unlike Audimute’s more expensive products, the Sound Absorption Sheets are manufactured on a high-speed quilting machine rather than handmade to perfection. This process enables Audimute to sell these green, USA-made, acoustically sound products at the low price of $1 to $2 per square foot, depending on the package purchased. These prices include delivery in the United States.

The redesigned Sound Absorption Sheets are available individually (covering 35 sq. ft.) or in kits that cover areas from 105 sq. ft. to 1225 sq. ft. Audimute makes every effort to ensure that the sheets sold in a kit or a single order have the same front-side fabric. But in cases where the aesthetics are important, Audimute suggests its Deluxe Acoustical Wall Coverings or Acoustic Panels. These products are also environmentally green, but their higher price point means they’re designed for aesthetic appeal as well as acoustic performance.
