Platinum Ridge Interviews Career Expert Who States Submitting Resumes No Longer Affective in Modern Job World

Interview with business and job advisor Alexandra Levit reveals better ways to search for a job and shifting allegiances of employees.

Aliso Viejo, CA, December 09, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Platinum Ridge's CubeCheck.com website interviewed career expert, best-selling author, and corporate adviser Alexandra Levit stated in a recent interview that job hunters would be better off seeking new methods of finding a job rather than relying on the traditional method of sending out resumes to every open position. Levit stated, “The old way of applying to 100 open positions on online job boards doesn’t work anymore.” Levit, who focuses on advising the young millennial generation on the best way to leverage new technology in the modern business world instead suggests, “Go on LinkedIn.com and identify individuals who are currently working at organizations you’re interested in.”

Levit also states that the end of the recession is near and that we will soon see a great deal of employees jumping ship as the economy turns. “On the eve of economic recovery, more than half of employees say they’re planning a career change in order to pursue more meaningful work. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that the average young American will have about 9 jobs between the ages of 18 and 32, and between 5.3 million and 8.4 million people ages 44 to 70 already are involved in “second act” careers.”
