Pronto Pasta Participates in “Gimme 5” Recycling Program

Locally Owned Restaurant to Serve as Drop-Off Location for #5 Plastics.

Raleigh, NC, December 19, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Jennifer and Ed Schrage, owners of Pronto Pasta (http://www.prontopasta.com), have announced that they are participating in the “Gimme 5” recycling campaign. The restaurant will serve as a drop off location for hard-to-recycle #5 plastics. The program is open to general public who only need to drop off #5 plastic containers, such as yogurt cups or take-out containers, to the restaurant. The “Gimme 5” campaign, created by Preserve Products, recycles #5 plastics that are usually seen as unrecyclable and makes them into everyday home products such as toothbrushes and razors.

Quotes:
“We are proud to be participating in this environmentally responsible campaign,” said Jennifer Schrage. The city of Raleigh does not currently have the capacity to recycle these plastics, and it is important that we reduce the impact of these containers on the environment as much as possible.”
