China's Ball Bearings Market to Grow in 2011, Competitor Friction Also Increasing

A recent study of the ball bearings market by GCiS shows that the sheer size and high growth rate in the China market has not diminished opportunities despite the increasing competition lack of regulation. The study, which segments ball bearings by deep groove, thrust and angular contact, self aligning and insert bearings, offers a five year forecast by end-user industry as well as strategic insights into the market by its competitors.

Beijing, China, December 29, 2010 --(PR.com)-- GCiS China Strategic Research has published a study of the China market for ball bearings. Covering the biggest end user markets, this study provides an in-depth look at the five leading industry segments, with market figure breakdowns for the four most widely used types of ball bearings in the market. Surveys were conducted between Q2 and Q3 2010, to assess current market dynamics and trends.

The study finds that the ball bearings market in China is a large market with many suppliers and moderately strong growth. Due to the widespread end user applications of this product, industry growth has been closely linked to the rapid development of China’s automotive and electric equipment industries, which form substantial portions of total derived demand for the products.

This large market is nevertheless is hampered by uneven regulation and regulations enforcement across different regions and applications. This has created a chaotic competitive environment that suppliers find difficult to predict. Challenges faced include simultaneous pressure to improve product technology and cut costs, price competition and tolerance of fake products among both customers and regulators.

Despite the intense competition, opportunities in this market lie in both the predominant deep groove bearings segment and in the smaller product segments such as angular contact thrust bearings, where fewer small domestic suppliers are involved due to technology constraints. Currently the biggest end user markets are the machinery & machine tools and automotive industries.
