Native Air, an Omniflight Company, Introduces New Membership Program, OmniAdvantage

To help consumers offset the cost of emergency health care, Native Air launches a membership program that covers out-of-pocket costs of air medical transport for members and their families in the event of an emergency.

Mesa, AZ, December 30, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Native Air, a division of Omniflight Helicopters, a leading national provider of air medical services, today introduced a membership program, OmniAdvantage, making medical transport available to members and their families for a fraction of its actual cost.

Native Air operates more than 20 bases in Arizona, New Mexico and west Texas, using helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft for lifesaving trips.

For the low cost of $49 per year, OmniAdvantage membership assures medically necessary emergency air transport or a hospital-to hospital transfer by Native Air, Omniflight, or affiliated aircraft at no additional out-of-pocket cost to the member and his or her family.

With an OmniAdvantage membership, if a member or a covered dependent requires air medical transport, the member is not charged any additional fee, with Native Air accepting whatever the member’s health insurance coverage will pay for the service.

The $49 annual family membership fee covers air transport to the nearest medical facility recommended by the attending medical professional. Native Air offers a discounted annual fee of $39 to fire, police, EMS, and hospital personnel, as well as groups of 10 or more and Automobile Association of America (AAA) members.

“A single emergency helicopter transport can be expensive, and people can’t always be sure their health insurance will pay for all of that,” said Mahesh Sadarangani, program director of OmniAdvantage. “But with a $49 annual membership, a member and his or her family can have the security of knowing that if they need an emergency air transport, Native Air will accept their health insurance provider’s payment, and the member won’t have to pay anything above the annual fee.”

Sadarangani likened OmniAdvantage to AAA membership, noting that just as millions of Americans use AAA as insurance for travel emergencies, they can achieve the same level of comfort in the event they ever need air medical transport services. Members receive OmniAdvantage ID cards and bumper stickers, enabling easy identification by emergency medical workers.

OmniAdvantage is offered throughout the Native Air service areas in Arizona, New Mexico and west Texas. Complete details about the OmniAdvantage program and its coverage can be found online at www.omniadvantagemember.com or by calling 972-715-4637.
