Employees Continue Holiday Tradition
San Ramon, CA, January 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- ‘Tis the season. . .
Although the economy may be tough and budgets tight, the employees of Old Republic Home Protection have continued their tradition of giving back to the local community this holiday season.
In response to increased requests for donations this year, employees of the home office in San Ramon generously donated to a food drive, toy drive, scarf drive, and coat drive this holiday season.
Food/Toy Drive: Employees donated over 300 pounds of food, $250 in grocery gift cards, and many new, unwrapped toys to Tri Valley Haven in Livermore. Now in its 30th year of operation, Tri Valley Haven is a vital community resource providing food and shelter to adults and children who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault or homelessness.
Scarf Drive: ORHP employees donated scarves, socks/slippers, hats, and gloves to St. Anthony’s soup kitchen in San Francisco. These cozy items were distributed to patrons of St. Anthony’s along with a holiday meal.
One Warm Coat: Employees are collecting new and gently used coats, jackets and sweatshirts through January 15, 2011, for ONE WARM COAT, a Bay Area non-profit organization with the simple mission of providing a warm coat to any person in need, free of charge.
By making generous contributions to meet the needs of their local community, employees of Old Republic Home Protection continue to demonstrate that they truly live the Company Vision of being “People Helping People” every day.
