Empty Stocking Fund Surpasses Goal and Breaks Record

With help from the News Herald, Bill Cramer Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC and the community, the Empty Stocking Fund surpassed its annual goal for 2010 and sets a new record for donations.

Panama City, FL, January 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Although the 2010 Empty Stocking Fund has come to a close, it will definitely be a year and a campaign to remember for years to come. Not only did this year's Fund, eclipse its goal of $175,000, this was a record-breaking campaign for the Empty Stocking Fund which received over $230,000 in donations. The Empty Stocking Fund is sponsored by the News Herald and Bill Cramer Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC for the past 27 years and helps the Salvation Army purchase toys, food and other items for needy families and individuals in Bay, Washington, Gulf, Holmes and Franklin counties. Donating $10,000 and doubling his annual contribution to the Fund, Bill Cramer, President of Bill Cramer Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC, said, this has been “a tough time for our economy and we felt that we had an ability to do a little bit extra this year.”
