Yats Wine Experience is a public wine appreciation event. Because there are no sponsors, participants are never exposed to pushy wine salesmen or subjected to boring sales pitches and speeches. Every event has a different theme designed to highlight a certain aspect in wine appreciation. Although the whole point about Yats Wine Experience is really to have a wonderful time with wine and congenial company, many participants leave the event knowing more about wine after having a great time with old and new friends.

This event will re-visit some classic red wines of Italy. Fine vintage wines are being discovered much to the (pleasant) surprise of the more adventurous wine enthusiasts who took the trouble to seek out new and exciting wine regions within the geographical areas commonly referred to as “the old world.” For this particular Yats Wine Experience session, wine enthusiasts will taste and compare five major styles of red wine from Italy:

· Dolcetto – good reasons for why it is literally called the “sweet one”;

Nebbillo – responsible for the “king of wines and the wine of kings”;

Chianti – an internal classic, a benchmark for terroir;

Morellino – a connoisseur’s choice for wines from Tuscany;
