RE/MAX Elite Raises $19.9K for Local Charities in 2010

Melbourne, FL, January 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- RE/MAX Elite, one of the more prominent real estate franchises on Florida’s east coast, raised more than $19,900 this year for local charities despite a challenging housing market.

The RE/MAX franchise, with offices in Melbourne and Cocoa Beach, has 60 real estate agents who not only helped local home buyers and sellers, but they pitched in to organize fundraisers that benefited five local and national charities.

“We’re proud of our customer service and the opportunity we’ve had to help so many of our friends and neighbors sell their home or buy new homes this past year,” said RE/MAX Elite Broker/Owner Justin Brown. “But we’re even more proud and grateful that we were able to continue our service to this community by providing funds to so many deserving organizations that help kids and families.”

Of the $19,904 RE/MAX Elite raised, $17,795K went to Children’s Miracle Network, which supports local Children’s Hospitals. In addition, the office and its agents held a local toy drive to benefit Toys for Kids and hosted a golf tournament and hot air balloon event using the signature RE/MAX air balloon to raise money for Harmony Farms, Inc. RE/MAX Elite also participated in the American Heart Walk and turned a local restaurant pink during Passionately Pink for the Cure to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.
