Buffalo, NY, January 13, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- BlackDog Strategy and Brand™ has launched a Brand Development workshop to women small-business owners. Women-lead business account for $3 trillion of the U.S. economy and provide for 1 in 6 jobs. Recent research indicates that women business owners will create more than 5 million new jobs in the U.S. over the next 7 years, more than half of all new small-business jobs that will be created.1 BlackDog’s workshop is a 12 week, hands-on program that leads each business owner through a brand development initiative specific to their company.
During the 3 month program, women entrepreneurs will meet weekly in a collaborative environment at BlackDog’s Buffalo office. Workshop participants will learn about developing their brand through both internal and external perspectives. They will review customer touch-points for their company and implement operational enhancements for their brand. Participants will also hone their marketing and communication programs to take advantage of the spectrum of social media and other marketing tools. By the end of the workshop, each woman business owner will have fine tuned her brand story and found new, innovative ways to work with their employees and engage their customers.
BlackDog has chosen to work with women entrepreneurs as part of the firm’s focus on humanizing businesses. Women business-leaders are more actively engaged in developing the people who work for them and are more likely to be found supporting their community. Improving the brands of these women-led companies will help them drive sales, increase customer and employee satisfaction and ultimately grow, meaning more jobs for the local economy. A positive spin-off effect is that as more businesses focus on the satisfaction and participation of their employees and customers, the local business environment will improve. This will encourage more entrepreneurs and businesses to be part of the local scene.
