New York, NY, January 25, 2011 --(PR.com
)-- The Knowledge Group/The Knowledge Congress Live Webcast Series, the leading producer of regulatory focused webcasts, announced today that it has scheduled a live webcast entitled The Impact of the New Improper Payments Elimination and Recovery Act to Eliminating Fraud. This two-hour event is tentatively scheduled on April 5, 2011 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM (ET).
The Improper Payments Elimination and Recovery Act (I.P.E.R.A.) was signed into Law on July 22, 2010 by President Obama. This aims to reduce wasteful payments to individuals and contractors by $50 billion until 2012. Under the I.P.E.R.A. rules, companies must adhere to a whole host of new standards including monitoring and measuring the performance of annual risk assessments.
It is clear that companies and agencies must have a thorough understanding of the new I.P.E.R.A. provisions as well as its potential impact to their business relations.
