Highland Homes’ McDaniel Earns Top National Honor
Lakeland, FL, February 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Kathie McDaniel, Vice President of sales and marketing for award-winning Florida new home builder Highland Homes, has received the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) prestigious Merillat Woman of the Future Grant for the second year in row.
Presented recently in Orlando by the NAHB’s Professional Women in Building Council (PWBC), the $500 grant was awarded to McDaniel “for her range of experience and commitment to the (home-building) industry.” She also was awarded an additional $500 grant from the PWBC.
McDaniel is a strong proponent of Green Building and has been instrumental in helping educate consumers about Highland Homes’ energy-efficient homes. She oversees the sales and marketing program in the 25 central Florida communities where Highland builds and currently supervises 25 licensed sales professionals.
During her 28-year career, McDaniel has earned numerous awards and distinctions, is a trustee of the Florida Sales and Marketing Council and recently was appointed National Education Chair for the NAHB.
She also has earned GRI, CRS and MIRM designations and is a licensed Florida real estate broker.
The NAHB is a national trade association based in Washington, D.C., representing more than 160,000 home builders and other in or affiliated with residential home building.
The Professional Women in Building Council was created to promote professionalism, while supporting its members at local, state and national levels through networking, education, as well as professional and personal development.
Founded in 1996, by Robert J. and Joel Adams, Highland Homes has appeared on Builder magazine’s national Builder 100 and Professional Builder magazine’s Top 400 Giants lists.
