Edcomm’s Banker’s Academy Celebrates 20 Years of Service to the Banking Community

New York, NY, February 13, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Edcomm Group is proud to announce its twentieth anniversary. Established on February 14, 1987, The Edcomm Group was founded by Dr. Linda Eagle and Clifford Brody. Their mission was to provide creative and innovative education and communication consulting solutions to the financial services industry.

Over the years, Edcomm has worked with banks and other financial institutions large and small, from multinational institutions as big as American Express and Bank of America, to small community banks like Peoples Bank and First National Bank, to credit unions like Cal State Central Credit Union and First Financial Federal Credit Union, to money services businesses like Omnex and Le Goi Tien Le.

“It has been an amazing 20 years,” said Dr. Linda Eagle, Edcomm’s President. “I am so proud of the many accomplishments we have achieved over the past two decades.”

Edcomm is known for its leadership role in interactive education, from collaborations in the 1980s with IBM and Columbia University on Classroom 2000—setting standards for CBT (computer based training) and computer mediated instruction—to Bankers Academy’s recent naming as “The Best Worldwide Provider of Training to the Banking Industry.”

Edcomm’s Banker’s Academy offers many off-the-shelf and customized courses, such as Teller Training, Compliance Training and Systems Simulation Training specifically designed for banks, credit unions and money services businesses.
