Geiger Gets the Job Done Using Promotional Products

Geiger, the nation's oldest and largest privately held promotional products distributor, comes through again to garner additional well-deserved recognition.

Kingwood, TX, February 13, 2007 --( One of the country’s largest national trade shows ended in Las Vegas just after New Year’s Eve; the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) show was bigger than ever. Besides the 20,000 attendees from across the country there were over 130 Geiger executives, managers, and consultants in attendance, and Geiger, a distributor, won the largest amount of highly sought-after Pyramid awards, six; five for special promotional solutions by consultants and one for its corporate web site, The next closest number of awards was only four, for a supplier.  Geiger came out smelling like a rose and was the talk of the show.

Winners in the 2007 PPAI Pyramid Award competition are recognized for effective use of promotional products in business and institutional marketing programs. The award-winning campaigns feature the creative use of promotional products, packaging and copy to create integrated marketing programs that delivered quantifiable results. These winners were selected by the PPAI Awards Committee and outside industry judges. “Creativity and effectiveness is the key to winning this much coveted award,” said Steve Slagle, CAE, PPAI president. “As these winning programs illustrate, there is no limit to the application of a promotional products program. A very simple program can win a Pyramid award if it is successful at meeting the client’s objective.”  In 2006, Geiger was rated #5 in sales nationwide, and continues to be the oldest and largest privately held distributor of promotional products and creative goodwill programs in the U.S.

Only recently, Jeff Taplin, VP Sales & Marketing MPG at Geiger, announced some internal changes and the official name change of their established "Time by Design" division; now to be known as ""  This was done in their efforts to better provide the time management tools they produce for their independent consultants and the buyers of quality dated promotional products.  Geiger is also the exclusive publisher of the world-famous 190-year old Farmers’ Almanac™; the promotional goodwill version of that almanac is available for marketing usage through the byGeiger division via its 400+ national independent consultants.

Geiger provides corporate branding for trade shows, sales/service recognition awards and incentives, event/tournament promotions, wearables, or for everyday business or organization marketing and is available for your specific needs and challenges.  Let one of their consultants know what wall you're up against and he/she will offer a ladder to help you get over it.  That's their job; it’s NOT just to sell you stuff.  Rather than asking Geiger to sell you something to go along with a program after all the promotional/marketing discussions for the year are done, Geiger should be included in the Planning stage to provide creative direction, share industry insights, and highlight the new and effective tools available; better guarantying results in their solutions to help you get where you want to be. An afterthought can’t be expected to an effective solution.
