Georgia Association for Women Lawyers Announces "Art and the City" Scholarship Art Auction

Theme for Annual Art Auction to Support Legal Scholarships Announced

Atlanta, Georgia, February 15, 2011 --(PR.com)-- GAWL, the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (www.gawl.org), with over 1,000 members in six chapters throughout Georgia, today announced it will hold its 18th Annual Scholarship Auction on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Art Space International (1192 Huff Rd., NW, Atlanta) from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This signature event supports the GAWL Foundation and its scholarship program to deserving law students.

GAWL is pleased to announce that the theme of this year’s auction is “Art and the City.” The great majority of the items will be from local Atlanta and Georgia artists whose works reflect a strong sense of place. The pieces to be auctioned include paintings, pastels, photographs, sculptures, jewelry and textiles, as well as items that feature travel experiences and gift certificates. Live music and heavy hors d’oeuvres supplement the event’s festive live and silent auctions. This “can’t be missed event” is attended by attorneys and individuals outside the legal industry.

Tickets are $50.00 in advance and $60.00 at the door, with group pricing available, and may be purchased on line at www.gawl.org.
