The Brooklyn Bridge is for Sale on the Million Word Site

The Million Word Site is growing very steadily as it attracts an eclectic base of users thanks to originality, creativity, humor and exemplary customer service along with a sense of community.

Brooklyn, NY, February 13, 2007 --(PR.com)-- As The Million Word Site continues to grow, having doubled in size over the past 2 weeks, the highly creative and original owner and impresario behind the site, Itzhak Schier a/k/a ZiQui Million, has decided to offer the Brooklyn Bridge for only eight dollars. The Million Word Site allows users to purchase words and phrases exclusively for themselves and either link them from the site to mini-sites which they themselves build or to their own home pages, and the growing legion of users is amazed at the results they have received from the site in the relatively short time that it has been in actual operation. The site also includes networking features such as a blog and forums, and more such features, including private messaging, are on the way.

In reality, it is not only the Brooklyn Bridge that is up for sale for such a low price, but also any compound place name, personal name, or for that matter animal name which consists of more than one word. Usually, two word phrases are considered two words and therefore priced at $16, but Schier noticed that even the most common place names had not been purchased because customers were not sure whether they counted as one word or two. So, in keeping with his dedication to his ever expanding base of users, he decided in favor of one word until the end of February, when he may re-evaluate the effectiveness of the promotion. And, as he himself supports conservation efforts, he decided to extend the price policy to animal names, knowing that many endangered species are known by compound names.

Already, one fortunate Million Word Site user has been bragging about the virtual real estate deal of the century – namely, purchasing Manhattan on the Million Word Site for a mere third of the $24 that the Dutch paid for it in 1624! And besides place names, one can find words pertaining to everything from the jewelry and travel businesses operated by Itzhak Schier’s fellow Chabad Chassidim to phrases that link to sites discussing more eclectic and controversial topics such as the death penalty and a new sport/activity called geocaching.

In short, the Million Word Site is on its way to becoming an internet phenomenon, if not an outright icon. Schier, whose humor permeates the entire site, states, “We’re going to be as permanent and as successful as the Brooklyn Bridge itself – and the difference is that you will be able to sell the Brooklyn Bridge if you buy it from me!” This is a reference to the planned sales/auction/rental feature that will appear later this spring and which will enable users to permanently or temporarily sell or trade their words
