Airborne Biometrics Group & OLAM Development Group Execute Reseller (VAR) Agreement for Face Recognition Surveillance System

Instantly match faces within crowds in public spaces to security watch lists with non-invasive facial recognition analytic software.

Camarillo, CA, February 20, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Airborne Biometrics Group, Inc. was established to provide an additional layer of personnel identification to the security industry. ABG has invested substantially in the development of the FaceFirstTM product that enables customers to automatically capture and compare facial images in a non-invasive manner. The FaceFirstTM product enables users with no training to leverage powerful centralized processing and receive confirmed face matches and alerts when a person of interest is identified.

The FaceFirstTM system was built in a cloud-architecture so that it can be run either at a single site or within a corporate or internet cloud. This way, it is flexible to remotely host the main matching and encoding engines and from there to distill a high definition video stream to a series of the highest statistical value of each face that passes by cameras. Their architecture leverages wide-area networking and cellular transmission capabilities via their proprietary algorithms that mitigate bandwidth required per camera.

FaceFirstTM comprises three main applications.

The second module is the mobile face recognition capability. The software has been specifically engineered to run on most of the commodity mobile phone platforms that are available today i.e. Android, Blackberry, and Windows. The cellular phone platform acts as a dumb device merely to acquire the image of the person and then securely log into their system, places a query and then transmits back all the possible matches for the person of interest to determine if there is a positive identification match. When a match is determined, the system then returns all the biographical information associated with that confirmed suspicious person i.e. law enforcement arrest warrants.

The third module is the mobile SLR capability. The system has been designed and engineered with the capability that allows the enabling most digital camera models to photograph either a single person, or even an entire crowd, and that image will then be wirelessly transmitted back to our matching engine in the cloud. FaceFirstTM then can be used to detect, crop and identify every single face on that image, no matter how many faces are on that image. This technology was specifically created for the counter intelligence community, as it allows for photographing special events in public spaces or specific people whose whereabouts are being tracked. This mobile SLR capability provides them with not only the match, but also all the biographical information concerning the person they’ve photographed. That information is provided through either an e-mail or an SMS alert sent directly to their mobile device or their e-mail.

The FaceFirstTM application allows law enforcement to quickly set up the system as a mobile deployment, placing cameras in key areas or at pinch-points, such as metal detectors and magnetometers, and then as people are entering an event every face will automatically be scanned and if predefined, will create an alert to the folks either on or off site who might be interested in the identification of that particular person. This technology leverages two-dimensional “mug shot” picture data bases that are archived by disparate law enforcement agencies. Batch enrollment provides case group categorization of watch list individuals to expedite proactive intelligence and assessment by responding agencies.

The FaceFirstTM solution augments urban crime video surveillance systems and provides an elegant interface with incumbent biometric access control systems for border patrol, airport security and sensitive area entry points at commercial high rise buildings and campus environments.

Airborne Biometrics Group, Inc. and OLAM Development Group, LLC. are pleased to announce a reseller (VAR) agreement to introduce the FaceFirstTM Face Recognition Solutions to the Midwest. This advanced technology is ideal for interoperability between law enforcement agencies at the municipal, county, state and federal levels to access disparate visual archive and database electronic information on criminals and terrorists to expedite rapid identification in public places.
