Michigan Association for Female Entrepreneurs to Host the International Women’s Day Networking Gala

Michigan Association for Female Entrepreneurs, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, will host the first annual International Women’s Day Networking Gala on March 8, 2011 in Southfield, Michigan.

Detroit, MI, February 21, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Michigan Association for Female Entrepreneurs, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, will host the first annual International Women’s Day Networking Gala on March 8, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Detroit Marriott Southfield.

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women – past, present and future. Annually on March 8th, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and to celebrate the achievements of women worldwide. This year marks the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day. International Women's Day provides a unique and global opportunity to reignite, inspire and channel women's equality for the future.

Michigan Association for Female Entrepreneurs along with various partner organizations across the state will join together to celebrate the achievements of women in Michigan and around the world. Partner organizations include the Automotive Women's Alliance Foundation, Women Making Connections, Zonta International District 15, Small Business Association of Michigan, and many others.

The International Women's Day Networking Gala is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the advancements of women including gender equality, equal rights and opportunities, access to education, and ending violence against women and girls. This year's event is an opportunity to make influential connections with women in business, entrepreneurship, education and politics, and to celebrate the intelligence, strength, courage and beauty of women worldwide.

Attendees will enjoy an extraordinary opportunity to network with women and men across the state. The event will feature a delicious selection of hors d’oeuvres, vendors, door prizes, entertainment, and a cash bar. Tickets are only $15. Exhibit booths and sponsorship opportunities are available.

Proceeds from this year's event will benefit Young Entrepreneurs Series (Y.E.S.), a program designed to give young girls ages 14 to 18 practical, hands-on training in business and entrepreneurship! Y.E.S. encourages girls to be creative, confident, and self-sufficient.
