Children’s Habilitation Center Announces Recent Organizational Restructuring

Harvey, IL, February 17, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Children’s Habilitation Center (CHC) has recently elected Lowell M. Zollar, M.D. as Board of Directors, Chairman. Dr. Zollar, a founding partner, previously held the position of medical director for nearly 34 years.

Anita M. Stewart, M.D. is the newly appointed CHC Medical Director. For five years, Dr. Stewart provided daily care and follow-up to patients as resident physician. As medical director, she will provide clinical leadership, support the development of new initiatives and work with patient’s primary physicians in a continuum of care, expertise, and consultation. In addition to being a board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Stewart is a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois. She completed medical school at the University of Illinois and is a graduate of DePaul University college of law.

Janice M. Kurth has been named Chief Executive Officer. She holds a B.A. from DePaul University and an M.B.A. from Loyola University. Kurth was previously the administrator. An employee at CHC for over 12 years, she will oversee day-to-day operations of the 67-bed subacute care facility. Kurth has extensive experience in healthcare, including staff development, strategic planning, and business development. She teaches business and organizational behavior at the University of Phoenix.

Beverly Hubbard has been recently promoted to Comptroller. Previously, Hubbard held the position of internal accountant for over 8 years. She is a licensed C.P.A. and currently working toward a M.B.A. at Capella University. Hubbard received her bachelors degree from Roosevelt University.

Children’s Habilitation Center (CHC) is a licensed 67 bed sub-acute skilled-pediatric care facility serving medically fragile infants and children. They specialize in services for chronic long term ventilator patients. Serving Illinois for nearly 34 years, CHC is CARF accredited in comprehensive integrated inpatient rehabilitation programs. Their mission is to provide a service bridge between acute care hospitals and home for infants and children who have high medical needs.
