Veteran actor and comedian will also participate in special Master class.

Toronto, Canada, March 11, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Banff World Media Festival announced today that Eugene Levy, veteran actor and comedian, will receive the prestigious Award of Excellence at this year's Festival. Previous winners include David Chase, Victor Garber, David Shore, Carol Mendelsohn, Dick Wolf, and the 2010 recipient, Nigel Lythgoe.

Levy will also participate in a Master class in which he will talk about his career, from his early years as part of Toronto's Second City comedy troop to his emergence as a staple of Hollywood comedies.

"Eugene Levy’s career has garnered him international acclaim and we are proud to be honouring him with this year's Award of Excellence,” said Ferne Cohen, Executive Director of the Festival. “We are also delighted that he will be sharing his experiences with us in a special Master class.”
