New Garden Shop for Kids Launched

The Kidsinthegarden online shop is launched this week. It sells a carefully selected range of gardening and outdoor gifts for children. The stars of the shop are a range of colourful soft toy vegetables with floppy arms and lovely smiley faces. They are ideal to help children get into gardening and cooking at an early age.

Kingston upon Thames, United Kingdom, March 12, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The new BBC CBeebies programme Mr Bloom's Nursery for preschoolers features an allotment tended by Mr Bloom and filled with talking vegetables. Young children are being shown how to take care of plants and vegetables in a very fun way. Gardening is fun, a great way to learn about plants and the prefect thing to keep children happy, inspired and occupied. Children no matter how small can be involved in all stages of growing from the sowing and planting, through to the watering and especially the harvesting and eating.

High Resolution Owner, Lynda Appuhamy says "I would like to see every family a growing family. If children have fun gardening at an early age they may well have a skill for life. Growing gardens helps to grow your kids. I am therefore delighted to be selling these charming soft toy vegetables."

The Kidsinthegarden vegetables are Tammy the tomato, Lucy the leek, Rory the radish, Carrie the cabbage, Peter the potato, and Coriander the carrot. They retail between £6.99 and £7.99. They can all be purchased as a kidsinthegarden veggie box together with a coir tray for £39.94. Postage and Packing are free. They are made in Sri Lanka from 100% handwoven cotton. High resolutions images are available.

The site also sells simple growing kits for children, outdoor toys and small garden tools. The shop’s sister website www.kidsinthegarden.co.uk is full of tips and advice about growing fruit and vegetables with children.
