Concord Flower Shop’s "Flowers for a Year" Grand Prize Winner Donates Award; Selflessness Rewarded with Additional Prize

Winner’s Generosity in Donating her 12-Month Flower of the Month Club Membership - a $600 Value - Inspired Owner Helen Halloran to Provide an Additional Six-Month Award.

Concord, MA, March 13, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Concord Flower Shop today announced that Mariellen Perugini of Carlisle MA is the grand prize winner of its “Flowers for a Year” contest. This contest included weekly bouquet giveaways and culminated in the grand prize drawing: a free 12-month membership in its Flower of the Month Club which, including free delivery a $600 value. Since the contest began more than 300 entries have been submitted and 25 Weekly Web Specials have been awarded as weekly prizes.

In a commendable act of generosity, Ms. Perugini decided to split her 12-month Flower of the Month Club prize into two six-month subscriptions and donate them to local charities: The Gleason Public Library in Carlisle, MA, will display their flowers in the library while The Minuteman Career & Technical High School in Lexington, MA, will auction theirs as a fundraiser. This selflessness so impressed Concord Flower Shop owner Helen Halloran that she increased the prize 50% (to a $900 value) so that Ms. Perugini will still be able to receive six months of flowers herself.

"For a lot of members, the Set & Forget Clubs are a great way to ensure their wife is surprised when she actually gets her birthday bouquet on her birthday."

“Receiving fresh, long lasting flowers all year long is such natural, desirable gift,” says Helen Halloran, owner of The Concord Flower Shop. “So we were very impressed with Ms. Perugini’s generosity in donating them to two local charities. As a reward, we increased the prize so that she could still enjoy flowers herself.”

Perugini will also benefit from the convenience and peace of mind of the Set & Forget Clubs, since club members easily set up their preferences online once and never have to worry about missing an important date. “For a lot of members,” continues Halloran. “It’s a great way to ensure their wife is surprised when she actually gets her birthday bouquet on her birthday.”

Set & Forget Clubs™
The Flower of the Month Club and its unique sister Forget Me Not Club™ are two new Concord Flower Shop Set & Forget Clubs (http://www.ConcordFlowerShop.com/clubs). Both clubs are easy on one's memory (they are quickly set up once, yet deliver nature's beauty all year long) and easy on the wallet (the more orders in a club, the more saved). And since orders can be updated any time at http://www.ConcordFlowerShop.com and an email reminder is always sent 10 days before delivery, not being sure where one wants the flowers delivered several months in advance isn’t a problem.

The Flower of the Month Club lets members regularly send beautiful, hand-made arrangements or plants anywhere in the Concord Flower Shop’s delivery area (their home or office, a spouse’s office, a parent’s or sibling’s home, etc.) on a set schedule to the same recipient. Different Club members might choose for example:

a $40 cut flower bouquet, delivered daily for 7 days to their vacation home
a $45 seasonal arrangement, delivered monthly for 12 months to their mother's home
a $60 seasonal arrangement, delivered monthly for 12 months to their home
a $75 plant, delivered quarterly for one year to their office

The Forget Me Not Club - exclusively available from The Concord Flower Shop - means members never have to fear forgetting important occasions as they can have different products delivered to different people on different dates all year long. For instance, one member’s Forget My Not Club might consist of:

1 Anniversary: a $80 arrangement delivered to their spouse's workplace
2 Birthdays: a $40 arrangement on their friend's birthday & a $60 cut bouquet on their sister's
1 Valentine's Day: a stunning $80 arrangement for the love of their life
1 Mother’s Day: a $60 arrangement for the woman who gave them life
2 Personal Occasions: a $40 arrangement on the day of their child's recital and a $60 one on the day they first met their spouse
