Dick Hannah Dealerships Increases Energy Efficiency While Reducing Maintenance Costs

Vancouver, WA, March 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Dick Hannah Dealerships recently completed a major retrofit project which included network computer power management, lighting and daylight harvesting. This project was designed in partnership with Clark Public Utilities. Clark Public Utilities provided technical expertise including estimated power savings for each of the project components. Clark Public Utilities worked with ADK Electric to provide a 50% incentive on the total project cost to retrofit the majority of the previous inefficient lighting systems throughout the Clark County Dick Hannah Dealerships locations as well as Pro Caliber Motorsports Vancouver. In addition, ADK installed daylight harvesting systems at multiple locations. The 37% reduction in kilowatt hours for lighting is expected to save $83,146 annually. The reduction in kilowatt hours for the network computer power management project alone is expected to save $4812 annually. Savings from both projects is enough energy to power approximately 128 homes per year. “We’re pleased to support Dick Hannah Dealerships in their energy efficiency efforts. This is one of the largest lighting retrofit projects of its kind in Southwest Washington,” said Debbie DePetris, Key Accounts Manager at Clark Public Utilities.
