Tundra Gas Safely Evacuates Tokyo Head Office

Tokyo, Japan, March 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Tundra Gas Inc has evacuated its Tokyo head office and shifted its Japan-based staff to temporary facilities in nearby Yokohama. Telephone numbers and internet resources have been redirected to new offices.

“We are fortunate to report none of our colleagues have been harmed by recent events, although some of us have lost friends and relatives,” said Chairman and CEO Richard Steele . “Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who have suffered.”

Mr. Steele also revealed that the relocation of the company’s exploration and production office to Qinghai, China, was being brought forward from its original schedule of September-October 2011.

“While we are deeply saddened by the tragedies that have struck Japan over the past few days, our business has not been severely affected as most of our own equipment is on site in China awaiting permission to begin work at a development site in Qinghai,” explained Mr. Steele. “The incidents concerning the nuclear power stations may actually lead to an earlier-then-expected approval from provincial and state authorities to begin exploration as pressure mounts to seek alternatives to nuclear energy in a region without much oil.”
