Boys and Girls Club Benefit from Home-Tech's Charity of the Month Program

Fort Myers, FL, March 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Home-Tech has donated $750 to the Boys and Girls Club to support their mission to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The donation, which will be split between the Sarasota and Lee County Boys and Girls Clubs, was part of the home appliance service and sales company’s Charity of the Month program, which donates a portion of the proceeds from each new air conditioning unit sold.

“Home-Tech has been a long time supporter of the Boys and Girls Club,” says Fran Levinson, the Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Sarasota. “Our success depends on generous corporate donors, like Home-Tech, and we are grateful that they are investing in the future of our community by supporting our activities.”

Donations for the Charity of the Month program are made in customers’ names to thank them for their business, instead of sending corporate gifts. Since launching its Charity of the Month program in July 2009, Home-Tech and its customers have given approximately $16,000 to local charities located from Sarasota to Naples, in addition to the company’s ongoing charitable giving and sponsorship of local charity events.

“There are so many good causes to support in the areas we serve,” says Home-Tech President and Founder Steve Marino. “Thanks to our customers, many more will be helped through Charity of the Month donations in 2011.”
