Altep, Inc. Announces Release of Custom-Developed Near Duplicate Detection in Inspicio®

Altep, Inc., a national provider of discovery processing and review services, has enhanced its near-duplicate detection functionality in Inspicio®, its custom-designed document review platform.

El Paso, TX, April 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Altep, Inc., a national provider of discovery processing and review services, today announced the availability of enhanced near-duplicate detection functionality in Inspicio®, its custom-designed document review platform.

The near-duplicate detection technology is massively scalable, and supports parallel processing of millions of documents per day. While working in Inspicio®, document reviewers can quickly examine near-duplicate documents, regardless of where or how often they occur throughout the population.

Trevor Morgan, Manager of Product Strategy at Altep, explained the new development. “Within a given document population, files may be duplicated once, or many times. Our approach to near-duplicates is supported by a design that allows the technology to look at each document and identify all of its near-duplicates. Users can then navigate from one, to the next, to the next, or skip redundant documents altogether. We expect this enhanced functionality will significantly increase the efficiency and accuracy of large-scale, document intensive review projects, while simultaneously introducing dramatic cost savings.”

Importantly, Inspicio®’s near-duplicate detection engine is integrated with the Difference Viewer, which reviewers can use to compare near-duplicate documents side by side. The differences between the documents are highlighted, so that users can easily focus in on potentially significant information.
