Diane Kuehn of VisionPoint Marketing Recognized as Top Minority Business Leader

Local Firm’s President Recognized by Carolinas Minority Supplier Development Council

Raleigh, NC, April 14, 2011 --(PR.com)-- VisionPoint Marketing (http://www.visionpointmarketing.com) has awarded president and CEO Diane Kuehn a scholarship by Carolinas Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC). The recognition took place at the Carolinas MSDC’s Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Scholarship Gala, held on Jan. 20 at the Harvey B. Gantt Center in Charlotte. In recognition of her accomplishments as one of the state’s top minority business leaders, Kuehn has received a scholarship to the Tuck Executive Education program at Dartmouth. The program, titled “Building a High-Performing Minority Business,” is a week long executive training program to be held the first week in May. The program will feature structured class sessions, case discussions, small-group activities and simulation aimed at offering step-by-step guidance to help minority businesses survive and prosper. Program topics to be covered include strategy and implementation, analysis of financial statements, managing the customer asset, strategic alliances and leadership.

The Carolinas MSDC, an affiliate of The National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. (NMSDC), is a nonprofit corporation chartered to enhance business opportunities for minority-owned companies by providing support, through developing mutually beneficial networking opportunities with corporate members and promoting minority business development. To be certified as a Minority Business Enterprise, the business must be at least 51 percent ethnic minority owned, operated and controlled.
