Philadelphia, PA, September 23, 2005 --(PR.com)-- What: Benefit to assist the American Red Cross for Katrina relief.
Where: Carmine's Creole Cafe, 232 Woodbine Ave., Narberth, PA 19072
When: Saturday, September 24, 1-6 pm.

Great food, great music and a great cause – what more could anyone wish for on a Saturday afternoon!

This Saturday, from 1-6 pm, Carmine's Creole Cafe (www.carminescreole.com) in Narberth will host a “Donations for Food” drive to provide relief contributions to the American Red Cross. Regardless of the amount, patrons who donate money will be able to receive a meal from Carmine's extraordinary menu of authentic Creole dishes.

For John Mims, chef and owner of Carmine's Creole Cafe, this event is a labor of love – literally. Mims' family live in New Orleans and were devastated by the effects of Hurricane Katrina. Although they lost everything in the aftermath, they have their health. Like so many thousands of other victims, however, they must rebuild.

For the event on Saturday, Mims plans to feature three live bands to accompany his authentic regional fare. In addition, Mims has arranged with Cohveca Coffee (www.cohvecacoffee.com) to provide a wide range of packaged coffees – from lush Indonesian to bright Central American coffees – that patrons can also take with a donation.

All donations will be delivered to the American Red Cross.
