RE/MAX Agents Increase Their Share of C.A.R. Awards for Chicago Real Estate Sales Success in 2010

Elgin, IL, April 28, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Agents affiliated with the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network increased their share of the honors when the Chicago Association of Realtors® (C.A.R.) recently announced its annual sales awards based on 2010 achievements in Chicago real estate sales. RE/MAX agents increased the number of 2010 C.A.R awards they took home by 24 percent compared to their 2009 total.

“The expertise and success that our agents have demonstrated in dealing with distressed properties is just one reason we are winning more C.A.R. awards,” said Jim Merrion, regional director of the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network. “The RE/MAX brand has long attracted innovative, productive, well-educated agents, and these results certainly underscore that fact.”

RE/MAX agents earned 10 Achiever Awards, C.A.R.’s most prestigious sales honor, up from six won last year. Linda O’Donnell of RE/MAX Signature, 2901 N. Clybourn Ave., was one of just 13 agents honored with the Platinum Achiever Award for sales of 160 or more units. Her total was in excess of 230 units. She also earned the Silver Achiever Award for sales of $20 to $29 million.

Robert T. Padron of RE/MAX Cityview, 6430 N. Central Ave., captured a Gold Achiever Award for sales of 130-159 units. Silver Achiever Awards for selling 70 to 129 units went to Angel Aguilar of RE/MAX Platinum, 1931 S. State St., Jack Kosycarz of RE/MAX City, 7020 W. Higgins Road, and David Piché of RE/MAX Signature.

Bronze Achiever Awards for sales of 45 to 69 units went to Jack Stempien of RE/MAX City, 6900 W. Belmont Ave., and Jose L. Campoverde and Angel Navarro of RE/MAX Signature. A Bronze Achiever Award for closing sales of $14 to $19 million went to Marlene Granacki of RE/MAX Exclusive Properties, 2951 N. Lincoln Ave.

In addition to the Achiever Awards, C.A.R. also recognized other top producers for both unit sales and closed sales volume, with some agents recognized in both categories. Thirty-three RE/MAX agents were recognized for unit sales and 31 for closed sales volume.

C.A.R. also honored agents for being the top producers in either unit sales or sales volume in each of Chicago’s 77 neighborhoods and six near-west suburbs, and RE/MAX agents captured nine of these awards.

Connie Abels of RE/MAX Edge, 3843 N. Broadway, led the Rogers Park neighborhood in both categories. Julie Anderson, Juanita Flores and Jennifer Tapia of RE/MAX 10, 5601 S. Pulaski Road, also earned similar double honors. Anderson won twice in Clearing; Flores did the same in West Lawn, and Tapia in suburban Forest View. Monira Soliman of RE/MAX Cityview topped the Lincoln Square area in units sold.
