The Spine Foundation Sponsors Medical and Orthopedic Mission Trip

Tampa, FL, May 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Phil Garcia, president of The Spine Foundation (http://www.TheSpineFoundation.org), an organization focused on providing patients with financial support and services essential to treat spinal conditions and disorders at a location of the patient's choice, has announced that it will fund a group of volunteers that will travel to Ecuador on a general medical and orthopedic mission trip. The group, consisting of three medical providers, three registered nurses and nine staff members, will depart on the eight-day mission on Saturday, June 18 and return on Saturday, June 25. The purpose of the trip is to provide basic medical care to the citizens of Ecuador. The Spine Foundation’s largest donor, Laser Spine Institute will staff the volunteers who will provide care to upwards of 150 people each day during the mission trip.

“Laser Spine Institute is excited to send our staff on this mission trip to Ecuador,” said Bill Horne, CEO of Laser Spine Institute. “We believe everyone should have access to basic health care and medicine, and this trip will be an excellent opportunity for us to provide assistance to those in need. We hope that this trip will be the first in a series that our physicians, nurses and staff are able to attend with The Spine Foundation in and outside of the United States.”
