Havers Online and on JustCite: New Partnership to Promote Barristers

Justis Publishing has taken Havers Onlineā€™s highly acclaimed bibliographic information on 11,500 practising barristers, and is publicising them and the work that they do in a completely new and more easily searchable way by adding them to the JustCite citator, where they'll be cross-referenced against their cases.

London, United Kingdom, May 07, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Havers, the pre-eminent source of data on barristers, and JustCite, the versatile citator and search engine, are partnering to promote barristers and their work at the Bar.

Launching its free-to-search Find-A-Barrister service at www.havers-find-a-barrister.co.uk, Havers is transforming its printed directory into a fully online database in its own right, following long-term collaboration with Westlaw and Lawtel, where some of its data can already be viewed online.

This new Barrister Hub, more details of which can be found at www.havers.co.uk, will provide a unique way for barristers to promote themselves on several different websites, whilst only needing to update their details in one place. But equally exciting is the news that Justis Publishing – its latest in a long line of partners and the company behind JustCite – has now taken Havers’ highly acclaimed information on 11,500 practising barristers, and is publicising them and the work that they do in a completely new and more easily searchable way.

Providing records for hundreds of thousands of cases, statutes and articles, JustCite now displays biographical information in new barrister profiles for every barrister in independent practice at the Bar. Each barrister’s key cases are then cross-referenced against the wealth of cases indexed on the popular citator and search engine, and linked to these new Havers profiles. This lets instructing solicitors and other JustCite users search directly for barristers or find them through cases they’re linked to.

Jonathan Daymond of Justis Publishing said: “JustCite has over 30,000 registered users across the legal profession. So this is a fantastic opportunity for barristers and their chambers to enjoy some of the most targeted exposure currently available anywhere.”

Holly Kingsford, Editor of Havers, said: “This is a very exciting development for us. Our data is already used interactively on Lawtel and Westlaw, and this collaboration with Justis will give all barristers the opportunity of unprecedented exposure.”
