Staten Island Yankees to Dedicate Proceeds from Friday July 8th, 2011 Game to PAWS NY

Portion of Sales Through PAWS NY Goes Directly to PAWS NY.

New York, NY, May 07, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Staten Island Yankees team is rallying around nonprofit organization Pets Are Wonderful Support (PAWS NY) by dedicating its Friday night game, The Staten Island Yankees vs. The Connecticut Tigers, on July 8, 2011, at 7pm EST, to PAWS NY.

The Staten Island Yankees want to help raise awareness of PAWS NY’s mission to keep individuals suffering from terminal illnesses, disabilities, or other debilitating hardships together with their beloved pets among local baseball fans. Tickets for this special Staten Island Yankees & PAWS NY fundraiser are $20 each and only available by contacting Rachel Herman at (917) 733-2170 or rachel.herman@pawsny.org. Tickets can also be purchased directly through the PAWS NY website http://pawsny.org/events. Each ticket includes: one game seat, one hot dog and soda voucher, one limited edition baseball cap, a massive fireworks display, and a game-day program. Following the game, kids under the age of 12 years will also be able to run the bases for free. "We are thrilled to gain recognition and support from The Staten Island Yankees team. This is the first time we are partnering with a sports team and we hope it's just the beginning," said Rachel Herman.
