A New Format of Advertising on the Web: Bid Twenty Five Cent Increments to Achieve the Banner Ad

At Top High Roller advertising has taken on a new format. The concept is that advertisers simply upload their ad and pay twenty five cents more than what the top advertiser paid in order to appear as the number one advertiser. Ads appear instantly and will maintain their position until another advertiser chooses to pay 25 cents more than the current price of the banner space.

Toronto, Canada, March 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Advertising on the web has taken on a new twist and the top advertiser sets the price of the banner advertising space. At http://www.tophighroller.com the banner advertising space appears at the top of the page and the price to advertise in this space is the highest bid or 25 cents more than the previous bid.

The concept is that if the first advertiser pays twenty five cents to appear in the banner space the next advertiser will need to pay fifty cents to appear there. If the first advertiser wishes to regain his position then instead of paying a full seventy five cents to appear in the banner he would need to pay the difference of what he originally paid and the current price.

For example, if the original advertiser paid $5 and the current advertiser paid $5.25, then the original advertiser must pay only fifty more cents to take the banner space again. This is $5.25 to meet the current price and an additional twenty five cents to take the banner space. If a new advertiser wants to appear in the banner space then he is required to pay the full $5.50, but afterwards would only be required to pay the difference of his original payment and the current price of the banner plus another twenty five cents.

The advertising space would continue to host the advertiser that paid the highest fee and the advertisers knocked out of the banner space receive a link on the page. Of course, regaining the banner position is easy.

Previous advertisers pay the difference of the original price they paid plus twenty five cents to regain the banner. New advertisers must pay the current price of the banner plus an additional twenty five cents to take the space. This is innovative because advertisers don’t have to pay the full price plus another twenty five cents every time. Instead, after the initial full payment they simply pay the difference plus twenty five cents. This equates to major savings for advertisers over the long term.

Owner of Top High Roller, “This format of advertising will become addictive to advertisers. It’s not just about being at the top but also about maintaining that position. You’re either a high roller or you’re not.”

This new format for advertising on the web is comparable to eBay mixed with an advertising site. Advertisers sign up for an account, upload their ad, bid twenty five cents more than the last banner space price.
