Planting Sustainability Across the Nation

Trenton, NH, May 19, 2011 --(PR.com)-- A company with an eco-friend initiative, Five Star Holiday Décor recently donated some Norway Spruce trees to the New Jersey Tree Foundation.

The NJ Tree Foundation is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to planting trees in New Jersey’s neighborhoods; the trees donated from Five Star were planted in Liberty Park.

Five Star Holiday Décor’s partnership with the Alliance for Community Trees, helps connect them to local tree planting groups across the nation. This partnership will ensure that all of FSHD’s unused, living Christmas trees are replanted in local communities after the holidays. President of Five Star Holiday Décor, Mark Knoch, hopes to expand the program each year and to continue donating to several local organizations throughout the nation.

“I think it’s important that we do our best to make the right decisions when it comes to recycling and replanting,” Knoch said. “If we can recycle Christmas lights and find homes for living trees, it gives me a feeling of satisfaction knowing that the trees will continue to benefit the local communities for many years to come as they grow alongside us.”

In addition to tree donations, Five Star Holiday Décor also offers a national Christmas light recycling program. For more information about this program or to learn more about Five Star Holiday Décor, visit www.fivestarholidaydecor.com.
